We are delighted to be able to offer you 1 of only 7 Land Rover Defender ‘SVX Concept’ models or that are now better known as ‘Spectre Defenders’, built specifically for the 24th James Bond blockbuster movie, SPECTRE.

Sony Pictures ordered and commissioned 10 new Defender Crew Cabs for the Movie and requested they be made into the perfect James Bond Villain cars. These 110 Series Defenders were then sent to Jaguar Land Rovers tuning and racing specialists Bowler who turned them into some of the meanest, and now most famous, Defenders on earth.

With huge 37” diameter Maxxis Trepador tyres bolted directly onto 16” Beadlock alloy wheels and a full body lift you might think that these were the easiest upgrades to spot of the Defenders transformation, but this is just the tip of the iceberg. To support such a special build Bowler upgraded the suspension to include rose joints and Bilstein rally dampers built to race specification, integrated a full roll cage that runs both externally and internally.
Then hidden away under the bonnet you will find a number of key engine upgrades with increased power from the standard 120bhp now up to 185bhp and 368lb/ft of torque all from a Bowler Upgraded Turbo, Bowler PWR Intercooler, Bowler Exhaust Centre Section and a replacement ECU. They were also fitted with Bowler extended wheel arches, light force spot lamps to the roof, A Bar, bonnet ropes, Warn Zeon 10S winch, steering guard, a snorkel, roof racks, underbody protection plates, clear lens packs to the lights and a hydraulic handbrake to name but a few of the long list of upgrades.

The interior is very much what you would expect from a traditional Defender but with the addition of Recaro Sports Seats and FIA specification 4-point harnesses to give it that special and robust feel. It also has a plumbed in FIA Fire Extinguisher (disengaged) and have since fitted correct inertia seatbelts to the car front and back to allow for UK road registration.

The Spectre Defender we have here has resided in a very prominent car collection since its role in the movie, where it was used only in drive-by scenes and static displays, not for any stunt work so you can rest assured the mere 350 miles it has covered have all been very light work, compared to what it is capable of!

Our Spectre Defender comes complete with a recent service at Land Rover, its original owners books, current MOT certificate, UK V5 Logbook, 2 sets of keys, a very appropriate registration number of “XO07 SVO” and a range of papers documenting filming schedules and vehicle build specifications from Jaguar Land Rover to Bowler

There are only believed to be 7 Spectre Defenders left in existence after 3 of the 10 were written off in the movie carrying out their role but not all are equal in condition today and not all are road registered. Ours was registered in February 2022, so this is a fantastic and incredibly rare opportunity to acquire a part of Land Rover and James Bond history.
